But this morning, at 3:00 am, as some may reffer to the "witching hour", I woke up to some lights flickering in the hallway outside my door. When I came outside my room, however, it was totally dark. I went into my parents room across the hall and asked them if they had seen the flikering lights. It turns out it was just my dad, but the weird thing was the reason why he had been turning on the lights. My mom had explained that they had been startled awake by some crashing noise coming from inside the house, the only problem was, was that I'm a very light sleeper, and for some reason I hadn't been woken up by this crashing noise, but by the lights my dad had turned on...that seemed alittle strange to me, but I didn't say anything and went back to bed.
Now the next morning, I had put the incident out of my head, thinking that maybe something had really fallen and I just hadn't heard it, but my mom informed me that nothing in the house that could've made such a loud crash was out of its place, which got me wondering again, but I still decided agaist saying anything.
I did, however, decide to say something when my mom's tv started changing channels when nobody was in her room and she was in her bathroom. I tried to tell her that sometimes this happened when hauntings occured, but of course, she didn't listen. Right after I said this, my dad was standing there and said that the lights in the living room had been flickering and at some times, even going out completely. But, of course, when I tried telling him that our house was haunted, he just shook his head and told me i was acting ridiculous, and I watched too many ghost shows, which I do, but that's not the point.
The point is, is that our house is haunted and nobody believes me! But like I said, this isn't the first time that I've encountered strange things in my house. When I was little, I would wake up to this screeching noise coming from my kitchen that sounded like our wooden chairs being scraped across the lenolium floor, but once we replaced the lenolium with tile, the screeching stopped. Then, when I was getting ready to go somewhere once, I reached for my make-up bottle, but it slid, right out from under my hand! Once, I remember gettin ready for church one Wednesday, and I turned around, and sat there and watched my lamp tip over, fall on my bed, and shatter five of the seven lamp shades. I also remember another time when I was getting ready for something, I was standing at the mirror in my bathroom, and I see something in my periphrial vision, and when I turn to see what it is, the toilet paper was unrolling itself, until the almost full roll was competely empty. The strangest thing that's ever happened to me, though, was last Christmas, when, during the witching hour, 3:43am to be exact, I would hear this strange noise. It didn't happen every night, but when it did, it gave me the creeps. The noise sounded like a rain maker, and it would go on for two or three minutes every time. I thought I was going crazy, but I really hope that I'm not, and that my house really is haunted. Then, of course, there has been the occasional slamming of doors and my tv turning off on its own.
What I really hate about this is, the ghost, which i have named Jesse, never does anything to anyone but me! He/she doesn't really scare me, because it never does anything that could actually hurt me, I just wish it would do something to someone else so that they would believe me! Now I know that some people would say something about techical problems for the things that happened to my parents, but I just don't see all of the electrical problems all happening at once, ya know? I just wish I knew whether i was going crazy or not....
